The Bristol Shakespeare Festival is an entirely volunteer run organisation, and there are always opportunities for those passionate about the arts, the Bard or Bristol to get involved.
The Festival Committee is the team that brings the festival together. We work throughout the year, starting as early as September, to ensure that all aspects of the festival are taken care of. From producing to marketing to box office management to fundraising to partnership sourcing, we have a small but dedicated team who work tirelessly to bring the festival to life.
Although we have no key roles available currently, we are always keen to hear from those who would like to bring their skills to our team, or who would like to get involved and gain experience with a local arts organisation.
Throughout July, we need enthusiastic and dedicated people to attend BSF performances as our core team of volunteers. Roles include ushering audience members to seats (or to free spaces outside), operating the box office and front of house, selling programmes, acting as a point of contact for audience members for any queries, and assisting with ensuring that the space is safe for audience members throughout the performance.
Our festival volunteers are able to watch all BSF performances free of charge, and gain valuable experience in festival volunteering with a passionate team.
If you would like to show interest in volunteering in June and July, or as part of our festival committee, please contact our Volunteer Manager, Fabi, at firstname.lastname@example.org
